Welcome!

In 1998 I bought a Triumph Herald 13/60, here you can read about it's restoration and share in a few photo's from it's travels. Please feel free to leave comments to any of the posts, of even email me if you want to.

MoT 3rd Attempt

1,240 days after taking her off the road, 'Bluebell' finally has a valid MoT certificate (as of last Friday, 22nd Jan).

It wasn't all plain sailing, some crunchy gear changes in the first mile or so, these soon went though. Then the temperature continued to rise to just under the red, then to my relief it started to drop again and levelled to right in the middle, can only assume the thermostat was a bit sticky after a long period of inactivity. The rest of the 17 mile journey was uneventful, a bit shaky as I've yet to get the wheels balanced, but everything else was working well.

A few comments about brake pipe fixings from the tester, a rear indicator that didn't want to flash (which was quickly fixed) and borderline rear brakes were the only problems, all Sunday afternoon jobs.

Even though it wasn't part of the test, the emissions were checked which allowed me to adjust the carburettor to get her running a little better.
